Monochromatic Living

Consulting on all the designs and selections, we guided the client to the right finishes that completed the look and feel of their industrial vibe home. The house was wrapped in shou sugi ban charcoaled cladding so these were carried through to interior panels and then reflected into the kitchen with super matt Japanese black tiles and grout.

The use of black steel was paramount in the design of the cabinetry with leg supports for the island, under-counter shadow lines and perforated cupboard fronts. The monochromatic tones were juxtaposed and warmed with smoked oak flooring and boxed ply shelving details.
